John C. Dew is a St. Petersburg native. A graduate of Woodberry Forest School, Williams College, and the University of Virginia Law School, he joined the Firm in 1959. Mr. Dew has been extensively involved in legal education. He has serves as an adjunct professor at Stetson University College of Law, teaching courses in real property, and he has authored articles for and lectured in the Continuing Legal Education program of The Florida Bar. His civic commitments embrace health, social welfare and business. He is the past president of the Salvation Army Advisory Board, the South Pinellas chapter of the American Red Cross and the Rotary Club. In 1980 Mr. Dew completed a course in theological education at the University of the South. Mr. Dew is past president of the St. Petersburg Bar Association, member of the Florida Bar. Mr. Dew's practice is concentrated in the areas of Corporate Law, Real estate and commercial matters. Mr. Dew is currently of counsel to the firm.

Although "of counsel", John Dew continues to provide the firm and its clients invaluable practical and strategic input regarding the handling of various matters for clients as well as for the ongoing management of the firm itself. He is our revered mentor and values leader.

John C. Dew's father, John C. Dew, Sr., was one of the founding members of St. Petersburg's first law firm in 1915. At that time the law firm became one of St. Petersburg's most stable, and reliable law firm's during its now 95 year history.
