Sam H. Mann, Jr. is a St. Petersburg native. A Yale University graduate, he attended both the Vanderbilt University and University of Florida Law Schools, being graduated from the latter. Since he began his practice in 1951, Mr. Mann has concentrated on trial law. Active in local and national bar and trial lawyers' associations, he is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American and Florida Bar Foundations. Mr. Mann is also a member of the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, International Association of Defense Counsel, the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, the Florida Association of Hospital Attorneys, the American Judicature Society, and American Counsel Association. Within the community, Mr. Mann served on the Board of Directors for the Community Regional Blood Bank and is currently member emeritus of the Board of Directors of Florida Blood Services. In the past, he served as a Trustee of Eckerd College and as a board member of the Museum of Fine Arts, as well as of the United Fund, St. Petersburg Progress, Family and Children's Service and the H. Milton Rogers Heart Foundation. In addition, for many years he served on the Board of Directors of First Florida Bank and its predecessor, Rutland Bank. Mr. Mann is a member of the Suncoasters, Dragon Club, and St. Petersburg Yacht Club. |
